Yaacov Agam is an artist who was a major figure in Post-War Europe. His work hangs in major museums and collections around the world. He is considered one of the best-known artists to have come out of Israel.
Agam’s work can be considered an extension of the work of masters like Piet Mondrian and others, where the interplay of line and color create optical effects in the eye of the viewer, leading many to describe his work as “Op-Art” or “Kinetic Art”.
